The Missoula Senior Center is always hoppin’ and filled with great energy. At the recent Holiday Art Fair I met a very captivating artist named Mary. She was selling her etchings. I couldn’t resist collecting a handful of her prints and a sketch book drawing. I was so drawn to her art and her energy, I asked if she would like to meet up for a cup of coffee. Before I finished the sentence she was quickly looking for a piece of paper to jot down her number. I can’t wait to hear about her life—starting with her hometown of Chicago, living 50 years in New Mexico and now landing here in Missoula. Mary did ask that I not share any images of her art on the internet. So instead, here is a portrait of her at her booth with some of her designs.
