This painting is currently hanging at The Bear, the new brick and mortar site of the Bath County Arts Association in Hot Springs, Virginia.
The inspiration from this piece came from a spring time hike at the Cascade Gorge, a guided tour of 13 waterfalls winding through natural paths and wooden walkways. The forest was just waking up from a winters rest. I saw wild orchids, amazing lichen and the most colorful birds just a getting back from their tropical vacation.
